Northland airport transfer to MCI, reserved from towns north of the river
North of the river, no bridge on the way
Nine towns on this page sit on the same side of the Missouri River as the terminal, so a Northland airport transfer to MCI meets no bridge at all. Below you will find how the drive runs from each of them, where the car collects you at home, how the ride back from the arrivals curb works, and what the printed figures hold before you reserve anything.
Sedan from $105per car, each way, up to 3 peopleSUV from $125per car, each way, up to 6 people
CE Travel Services is an independently owned booking office in Kansas City. North of the river as everywhere else, the company listed on your written fare drives, keeps to its fixed rate and takes your payment; that company pays the office a set sum per ride booked.

Staying north of the river all the way
MCI stands on the north side of the Missouri River, and so does every town in this table. From Platte City, Parkville, Riverside, Smithville, Gladstone, Weston, North Kansas City, Liberty or Kearney, the car reaches the departures curb on the upper level without crossing the river. The five bridges that bring the rest of the metro north (US-169 at the Buck O'Neil Bridge, I-29 and I-35 at the Bond Bridge, the I-635 bridge, and two I-435 spans) serve other areas. Most rides from the Kansas side come over I-635, as the page on airport transfer from Overland Park to MCI explains; Basehor, Edwardsville, Bonner Springs and Lenexa cross on the I-435 bridge near Parkville.
On this side of the river the clock follows the miles. Platte City is 8.5 road miles out, about 15 minutes at a quiet hour, with a sedan from $105 per car, each way. Kearney sits at the far end, 27.1 miles and 38 minutes away, with a sedan from $140 per car, each way. Between them, Gladstone runs about 24 minutes and Liberty about 32. In the evening rush, add roughly half again to any of those times, which pushes Kearney close to an hour.
Getting ready for the car at home
The car comes to the address you put on the request, whether that is a house at the end of a long drive near Kearney or a building with a shared lobby in North Kansas City. If the driver should use a side door, a gate code or one particular driveway, write it in the note.
The company that takes the ride confirms the pickup time with you in writing. If you ticked the call and text box, it may phone or text the number on the request about that ride only, and replying STOP ends the texts. A few minutes before the car is due, it helps to have these in hand:
- bags packed and waiting inside the door
- the written confirmation open on your phone
- the phone you listed, switched on
- your own child seat, unless the company is bringing one
- a service animal, already named in the note

Coming home from the arrivals curb
Coming home, put your flight number on the request so the company can follow the flight; your written fare says how it counts the wait after a late landing and what waiting longer costs. The walk from baggage claim goes down to the lower Arrivals level and over the crosswalk to the Commercial Curb, posts 3J to 3N on the airport's 2026 map, and the arrivals walk at MCI page sets it out step by step. With the call and text box ticked, a text tells you the car has pulled in; without it, that message comes by email, and only the driver uses your number, on the day. Nothing is reserved until the company's written confirmation arrives. From the curb the drive north meets no bridge: about 15 minutes to Platte City and 38 to Kearney at a quiet hour.
Reading the numbers in the table
The word "from" beside this approach points to its smallest figure: a Platte City sedan, which starts from $105 per car, each way. Every sedan and SUV figure in the table is where the charge for the ride itself from that town starts; the amount you accept is the one the car company names in its written fare for your date and pickup time. It covers the drive, the fuel, the car for you alone and the waiting time named on the written fare. The figure stays the same in every week of the year, and the written fare tells you if the company's rate differs on a holiday date.
The figure leaves the gratuity out; should a company's rate add one, the written fare names it on a separate line before you decide. Anything beyond the ride, such as a second stop, the airport trip fee if the company adds one, a child seat if the company charges for it, or waiting past the time named on the written fare, appears as its own line in the written fare. You see each line, and the company's fixed rate for the whole ride, in writing before you say yes. Once you accept, that rate holds. Figures for every approach in the metro sit together on the page of airport transfer rates to MCI per car.

Reserve a Northland pickup in writing
The last step is yours: telling the office where and when. The form takes requests 24/7. A written fare comes back by email, and after your yes the company confirms the pickup in writing. Send it as soon as you know the flight.
